As the year comes to an end, the fashion clock does not. So far, so good; the season has been favorable to many models in the region. I personally believe that the fashion landscape has improved significantly over time. Some models understand that to secure their future, they must work on themselves every day and refine their craft for the world to take notice. Below are my thoughts on some of the models from the region who are excelling, and I believe we should keep an eye on them in the coming years.

Asonye Godwin Brian, an androgynous model, has redefined the term to fit his personality, making it work for him in a time when androgynous models are not taken seriously. He showcases incredible style abilities, making the term sustainable. As an exceptional catwalk instructor, he has brought the spotlight to his region and community, signaling that this is just the beginning. With his electrifying walk on runways, from the Nook International Fashion Weekend to Port Harcourt Fashion Week, he proves he’s just getting started. The coming years will undoubtedly be interesting. I believe, and we are all here for it.

Precious Okah, the dark, tall Amazon queen, has taken the world of fashion by storm, dominating almost every show this season. She is the favorite of many, and her ability to embody the looks and get into the character of every garment given to her is a superpower. I believe she is just getting started.Her catwalk is unique and beautiful to watch, and her personality off the runway is equally incredible. This beauty is someone the world should watch out for, as I think her career is just beginning to rise.

Jonathan Etini’s rise to the center stage of the modeling industry was no surprise, as many who followed his career knew these days were coming. From a region where fashion activities were scarce, he would pay his way to attend castings in other states and cities, ultimately leading to him being signed by one of Nigeria’s top modeling agencies. This has propelled him to achieve the greatness he has attained this season.His dreamy style catwalk on the runway, combined with his distinct skin tone and physique, makes him stand out. We believe there is much more to come from this young man and we can’t wait to see.

Emmanuel Miles, an embodiment of consistency, also an incredible athlete with His distinct facial features and unique catwalk style have graced numerous runways this season, making him a favorite among photographers. Notably, he has enriched his portfolio with captivating look books, collaborating with renowned designers and photographers. His outstanding achievements have rightfully earned him the Model of the Year award, signaling that this is just the beginning of his remarkable journey.
