The Nook fashion weekend DESIGNERS WE HAVE OUR EYE ON!

Introduction:

In every fashion season, there are incredible designers that consistently stand out—some silently making a statement, while others boldly declare their presence. As much as I would have loved to explore more designers, I find myself drawn to a particular few. Come with me as I share my personal thoughts on these amazing brands, reflecting on their track records and the experiences I’ve had witnessing their shows numerous times.

“House of Bo,”

A household name in the city of Port Harcourt, has garnered years of trust from clientele. Catering to some of the city’s finest with a taste for constant change and powerful designs, every time the brand steps out, it leaves a lasting impression.

At the Port Harcourt Fashion Week, the brand astounded the audience with striking garments, diverging from its day-to-day clientele services. This departure left everyone wondering if it’s the same brand they’ve known or a new one undergoing a metamorphosis.

I believe the answer to the question they left the audience with will be revealed in this fashion week. We anticipate witnessing the brand’s transformation, leaving us in wonderful shock. If you ask me, it’s a positive move; a brand with a distinct identity should keep its clientele wanting more, fostering loyalty.

Hazel Grace Styles

“I am personally in a relationship with the brand Hazel Grace Styles because they consistently pushes the boundaries of style. At every turn, the brand challenges our perceptions, making us believe we’ve reached the pinnacle of fashion, only to reveal that we’re just embarking on a new journey. From their last collection at the Nook Fashion Weekend to their recent lounge and travel collection, it’s evident that we’re in for a real-time fashion adventure. I’m all in for this!”

Ugochukwuemerie.

I call this brand the Eastern Phenomenon. This brand is one of the few, in every fashion season, that makes us remember we are Nigerians. They always take us on a journey of nostalgia with the fabrics, sewing patterns, marks, symbols, accessories, and powerful music. I am always excited and emotional because the brand questions your loyalty to being a Nigerian, making you leave their shows saying, “I must be in a better relationship with my Nigerian fashion roots, fabrics, style, culture, and all.”

Jazz Effect Designs

The brand name tells you all you need to know about the brand, if you ask me. This brand always wakes up your fashion senses — from the themes of their collections that they always stick to, to their consistency in giving a proper show. In honesty, we do not expect anything less from a brand that has been giving excellence and commitment for 18 good years. All that experience shows in every outing. For the Nook Fashion Weekend, we can’t wait to see what SHOW they bring with them.

“House of Olaedoo”

Captivated me with their first show – a spectacular display of well-placed cuts, thematic collections, and impeccable fabric choices. Excitement builds as I eagerly anticipate their work this February 9th-11th. What drew me to this brand is their unique ability to make fashion both comfortable and stylish, catering to women who believe in the fusion of comfort, luxury, and style.

“Sammies Couture

Renowned for catering to elite millennials in the city of Port Harcourt, is known for its fine patterns, luxurious feel, and meticulous attention to detail. It’s been a while since we’ve seen this brand on the runway, and we are super excited to experience the dose of luxury they bring this time.”
